Restaurant
Welcome to TAILS - a new seafood restaurant located in the heart of Riga’s Art Nouveau quarter. The space boasts two areas: the classic dining room and a Raw Bar counter opposite the open kitchen, also known as the Chef’s Table. Our cuisine’s specialty is implementing the Dry-Aging process, when fish is aged from several days to weeks, transforming its texture and adding a remarkable depth to flavour.
Head Chef
Matīss is one of the leading young chefs in Latvia, who has acquired his culinary knowledge by working in world-class restaurants such as Narisawa, Tokyo (2*), Twins Garden, Moscow (2*), Agrikultur, Stockholm (1*), Blueness, AIRrepublic (1*), and Pure C (2*) in the Netherlands. He has also worked in several well-known restaurants in Latvia.

Matīss's approach to cuisine combines respect for local ingredients with innovative thinking, creating dishes that transcend traditional gastronomy. His goal is to turn each meal into an unforgettable experience that inspires both his team and the guests who come to enjoy the masterpieces created by Matīss.
INTERIOR
Designed by London-based Studio Caché, the restaurant demonstrates a refined sense of aesthetics inspired by the Baltic Sea coast. Each zone of the space conveys a unique atmosphere, making subtle references to the sand dunes, the waves and the deep blue waters. The chosen neutral colour palette, delicate finishes and natural materials create a restrained yet delightfully welcoming and elegant interior.

The menu celebrates sea delicacies, from the minimalistic crudo dishes where pure flavours prevail to the more intricate creations, and is regularly enhanced by the seasonally inspired Day’s Specials.
